What does it mean to be committed to your faith in our time? Who might be models of faithful living for us? What connects committed Christians, Buddhists, and Muslims and what can their lives teach us?

This month the Shirley Pepperell Episcopal Partnership will be offering another module from the Speaking of Faith for Small Groups series. As with the earlier modules, we will listen to short excerpts from interviews by Krista Tippet from her radio program and then discuss the content. Past Modules were “Living Islam”, “Einstein’s God’, and ‘Sustainable Faith”, offered in 2010 and 2011.

In this series we will hear from Christians, Karen Armstrong and Jimmy Carter; Fateham Kashevaraz, speaking about the Sufi poet, Rumi; Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh; and Joan Chittister on the Rule of St. Benedict. We will begin each session with prayer and reflection and when time permits will include a creative exercise after our discussion.

Join us on Tuesday, April 17 at 7 PM at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Pepperell for the first session and then continuing on the first 4 Tuesdays in May, also at 7 PM at St. David’s.
