Bible Apps for your Smartphone

There are many Bible apps that you can download to your smartphone to take with you when you are on the go.

I recently chose a free one called The Bible App Free + audio off-line

It offers a Verse of the Day

Find God’s love in his word.

They have a new plan called Lent for Everyone

There is a devotional for each day of Lent which is a reading chosen from the Gospel of Matthew plus a redirection by Tom Wright. This was created to encourage Lent reading in Northern England.

A Loss for Words

When someone you know suffers a tragedy and you are at a loss for words. Here is a simple prayer that you can offer to comfort the person.

Dear Lord give ( name or names) a faith that reminds them that even in their sadness and confusion they can look to you for peace, acceptance, and understanding. Amen
