Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church
is an ELCA congregation officially organized in April 2002, and was begun as a mission congregation in Groton, MA by St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sudbury, MA in the summer of 1989. In 2019, the congregation began worshipping at and ministering from the Federated Church of Ayer. In 2020, Shepherd of the Valley (SOV) acquired the building from the “Fed” at 21 Washington St. Ayer, MA.

- God the Father creates us, God the Son saves us, and God the Holy Spirit guide us.
- Salvation is a gift received through belief in Christ.
- Baptism and Holy Communion are visible signs of God’s grace.

- God’s love encourages us to serve others and to enthusiastically proclaim the Gospel to all people.
