Spring Clean Up Weekend at Camp Calumet
Why go to Camp Calumet for Spring Clean Up Weekend?
• The price is right – only sweat labor, no monetary cost
• The food is abundant and great and they serve snacks and really cold lemonade while you work
• It’s a great mini mission trip with practice in team work and just work in general
• You can make new friends and acquaintances who also love Calumet
• There’s pool, ping pong and, of course, Bananagrams when you’re not working

• When else will you get the opportunity to CARRY a motor boat Continue reading SOV – Spring Clean Up – Camp Calumet
Easter Egg Hunt, March 19th
Long before the Easter Bunny hopped down Main Street delivering eggs, Jesus walked around the Sea of Galilee with his friends spreading a message of God’s love and the power of forgiveness.
On Saturday morning, March 19th, Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church will host its 10th Annual East Egg Hunt and Easter Storytelling for children third grade and younger. We will hunt for eggs, sing and hear the story of Holy Week.
Arrival time and singing will start at 10:15 and the storytelling will begin at 10:30. To ensure that we have enough filled eggs and goody bags on hand, please sign up by contacting Margaret Doyle at 978-772-7095.
This family event is offered free of charge. Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church is located at the historic Grange Hall, 80 Champney Street, Groton. Hope you can join us for a fun-filled, meaningful time!

The Ash Wednesday liturgy calls for remorse and repentance. Pastors place ashes on people’s foreheads and say “Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.” Continue reading From the Pastor – February 2016 – Ash Wednesday
