Hotdogs and “The Wizard of Oz”

Friday, August 18, 6 p.m.—9 p.m., at the GrangeSOV - Movie Night
Enjoy a light dinner of hotdogs and chips at 6 p.m., with the movie to follow. There will be a facebook event for rsvping or you can call SOV at 978-540-0SOV.

Picnic at Mirror Lake – Sunday, August 20

SOV Picnic - August 20th - Mirror LakeCome and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Mirror Lake. There is swimming, sand for the little ones and lots of shade. Bring a lawn chair, a drink and a sandwich. You may bring a snack or sweets to share, but this is optional.

Mirror Lake charges an entrance fee, but in order to make it easier to invite friends and family, SOV is covering the fee. Make sure to sign in to the SOV Log at the check-in table. Parking is up the hill from the beach, but you are able to drive down to drop off things and then go back up to park. Please ask anyone with an SOV baseball cap if you need a ride back down! This is a laid back afternoon with rest and companionship—bring friend/s!! What a nice way to end the summer!!

A FREE Christmas Event for Children and Their Families
from Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, December 4th 2016

Looking for a great way to start the Christmas/Advent season with your kids? On Sunday afternoon, December 4th, children dressed as sheep will join their parents (dressed as shepherds) and flock to “Bethlehem” to witness the birth of Jesus, as they participate in a dramatic re-telling of the Christmas story, acted and narrated by Shepherd of the Valley adults and youth. The children will also enjoy singing Christmas carols, making star-shaped Christmas ornaments, and munching star-themed goodies. Continue reading Follow the Christmas Star!

SOV – Silent Auction – 2015

SOV Silent Auction, October 24th

The 9th Annual Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church Silent Auction will take place on Sat., Oct. 24th, between 6 and 8 p.m., at the Groton Grange.

PROCEEDS SUPPORT CHARITIES SUCH AS:
Loaves and Fishes, Our Fathers House, Camp Calumet, Groton Senior Center,  Habitat for Humanity and My Father’s House.
