An article in USA Today reported that increasing numbers of children in the United States “have no vocabulary of faith, and neither do their parents.”

A mother in Austin, Texas, who grew up Methodist, said she’s “totally disengaged from the church and the Bible.” Sunday mornings for her family revolves around sleeping in, puttering, and kid’s sports.

SOV Vacation Bible School

SOV Vacation Bible School this summer will take place July 25th to the 29th from 9 am until Noon. Hope you can join us as we journey with Joseph from prison to palace. We will learn about ancient Egypt and how God sent Jacob’s son Joseph there in a remarkable way. His brothers threw him in a pit and plotted to sell him, but God protected him and later saved the entire household of Jacob from famine through Joseph’s privileged position in Pharaoh’s court.

May 8, 2016 – Congregational Meeting

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I am happy to announce that we are continuing to move ahead with the candidate that has been recommended by the Call Committee, Pastor Susan Gaeta. Both the Call Committee and Council have unanimously voted to bring Pastor Gaeta to the congregation for a call vote. The congregational meeting will convene at 11:30 on May 22nd after the 10:15 worship service with one agenda item, to discuss and vote on extending a call to Pastor Gaeta. H.S. Mission Trip, June 26th – July 2nd
The 2016 High School Mission Trip to Reading, Pennsylvania will occur from Sunday, June 26th through Saturday, July 2nd.

Jr. High Mission Trip, July 10th – 16th
The 2016 Middle School Mission Trip to Wayne County New York will occur from Sunday, July 10th through Saturday, July 16nd.
